Matthew Scott
Principal
With decades of experience in landscape architecture, Matthew still finds joy in every new project. He especially values the opportunity to collaborate with clients and other design professionals—it feels a bit like working on a puzzle, and he’s always up for that (preferably with a good cup of coffee or two). As the pieces come together, there's a quiet satisfaction in seeing a shared vision take shape. And when it's all done, the greatest reward is knowing the space will be enjoyed by others for years to come.
Outside of the office, Matthew is all about staying active and enjoying the outdoors. He’s into most sports, makes time to exercise, and loves hiking with his family to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. A loyal Atlanta United supporter, he rarely misses a home game—if you're at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on match day, you’ll probably hear him cheering loud and proud: A-T-L!
What is something you love about Landscape Architecture?
I enjoy seeing a space we have designed being enjoyed by all. Watching it age and mature to be what we envisioned. It is very rewarding to see that at the end of a project.
