The campus for MetLife Investments Headquarters, located in Hanover, New Jersey, is a center for collaboration and global forces.
A 13,000 square-foot plaza is a space where employees can gather within various outdoor “rooms” and have flexible settings for work, discussions and outdoor gatherings / events.
These ‘rooms’ include an amphitheater, a planted podium bench that doubles as a wooden deck, a slipped plane bench, and a grove with flexible, movable seating and power/internet connections for the employees and guest.
A 2,500 square foot plaza adjacent to the cafeteria is an area for repose, framed within a grid of Zelkova trees and granite clad wall of rushing water.
At night, the space can be used for social events with an outdoor kitchen, gas fire pits and a wood trellis with accent lighting.
