Hotel Indigo
Gainesville, FL
Hotel indigo is a 140 key boutique Hotel at the 160 acre mixed use Celebration Point development, near Gainesville, Florida.
SITE solutions designed the port cochere, ground floor gardens, exterior event spaces, and the pool and amenity deck. The hotel and its amenity and pool deck form the edge of Tech Park on the west, one of the signature open spaces of Celebration Point.
SITE solutions challenges included balancing the need for pool deck privacy with integrating the ground floor restaurant and bar functions with Tech Park quad and its circulation paths. Multiple freestanding curved walls carry the Hotel’s color branding and baffle the pool area, and one wall terminates in an iconic fire table social area.
Nearby SITE solutions integrated an oval shaped wedding garden into Tech Park, which services the needs of the hotel’s weekend events without compromising a fully flexible space for Tech Park’s office weekday functions.
SITE solutions design worked in reuse of the indigenous chert stone of north central Florida, and its planting palette acknowledged local flora celebrated in the interior architect’s design narrative for the bar and restaurant areas.
