Capitol View

Capitol View ,a 32-acre development located just north of the bustling Gulch neighborhood in Nashville, brings a unique, walkable mini-neighborhood to the heart of downtown.
Working on the office and residential components with the design team from the beginning, SITE solutions had a strategic role advising the architects in the positioning of the residential wings to maximize amenities and capture the view from the rooftop courtyards to the dominant Capitol dome to the west.
Challenges included fitting the pool and amenities over the existing garage while blocking the views of the existing rail corridor and service drive to accentuate the long view to the Capitol Dome.
SITE solutions proposal included elevating the pool deck on a podium above the garage and developing a curved cantilever amenity edge deck that projected significantly past the plane of the parking deck below. By doing this and framing the view with trellises the amenity deck delivers the “view” of Capitol View!
Besides the main pool courtyard deck, SITE solutions provided two additional courtyards that included significant green rooves, seating and social spaces.
