SITE solutions worked carefully with Cooper Carry Architects and the Civil engineer on entry road alignment, grading, parking lot, and valet/Porte-cochere layouts.
Particular attention was paid to the natural pastoral qualities of the site with the goal of making these important guest arrival sequences tread lightly on the landscape.
Long views to the Chattahoochee River are maintained from the event spaces through careful terracing and native landscaping. In the guest amenity area, a two- level resort pool area environment has been created.
The upper level accommodates families and fun with water slides and a Kid’s Club. The adults only lower pool terrace is more serene, featuring water cabanas and an infinity lawn edge.
Opening up the view to the river with a hidden “haha” fence, the infinity lawn edge exemplifies the care the design team took to ensure that all features exhibit that “light touch on the landscape”.
The Westin Foxhall is a public/private (P3) financed project between Douglas County and the private developer.
