The Works: A Place for Now

This collection of early- to mid-century warehouses could have easily reached the end of its story, if it weren’t for the SITE solutions that gave this historic location “a new birth.” Breathing enough new life into an older urban setting to draw people and serve the community “7 days a week, 18 hours a day” called for creatively unique solutions. From “hardscapes to really soft landscapes,” The Works experienced a transformative design process, creating “a place for now,” with enough activity, light, beauty, and purpose to generate a sense of place and belonging for new generations.
